VinWonders Nha Trang (Vinpearl): Hon Tre day

On Hon Tre (Hòn Tre) sits the big amusement complex VinWonders Nha Trang — many people still call it Vinpearl Land. The brand is now VinWonders, but you will still hear “Vinpearl” for the cable car, resort, and island — all under the same Vingroup family.

This is not a one-hour stop. Plan a full day: cable car over the sea, rides, water park, aquarium, shows, and beach areas. Below is how to get there, what to book, and how not to burn out in queues.

Tickets and booking

A VinWonders admission ticket usually already includes the round-trip cable car. A cable-car-only ticket is for visiting the island without park entry (Vinpearl Harbour) — a different plan.

Where to buy as an independent traveler:

• Aggregators like Trip.com — easy to compare packages and often get a QR code on your phone

Before you pay, check:

• Full-day vs entry after 4:00 PM (cheaper, but you will miss the water park and a big chunk of the day)
• What is included: cable car, rides, shows; what costs extra (zipline and some activities often do)
• Cancellation rules and child categories (height / age)

How to get there

The mainland cable-car station is near Vinpearl Harbour / Cáp Treo, south of the central promenade. From most hotels — 15–30 minutes by Grab.

Timing to expect:

• The park usually opens around 08:30
• The cable car ride is roughly 8–10 minutes; cabins hold several people, and the bay view is an attraction on its own
• If the cable car is closed for weather, a boat shuttle is sometimes used — check on-site notices

Aim to be at the station at opening: shorter morning queues and a better shot at the water park and top rides before peak.

What is inside

The park is huge — you will still miss something in one day. Useful blocks:

• Adventure Land — classic rides, from gentle to extreme
• Tropical Paradise — water park (closes earlier than the main park, often around 17:30)
• Sea World — aquarium
• Shows — evening performances such as the Tata Show (confirm the day’s schedule)
• Beach / stroll zones — recover between queues

If water is the priority, do the water park in the first half of the day: it closes earlier, and afternoon sun plus queues hit harder.

What to bring

• Swimsuit and a change of clothes
• SPF 50+, hat, sunglasses
• A small snack and water (food and drinks inside cost more)
• Cash for lockers / towels if you do not want to carry wet gear
• A power bank — it is a long day of photos and maps

Leave documents and spare valuables in the hotel safe.

All day: how not to burn out

1. Morning — cable car, then your priority zone (water park or rides)
2. Lunch — inside the park, or the snack you packed
3. Afternoon — aquarium, calmer areas, shows on the schedule
4. Around 17:30–18:30 — sunset on the cable car, or stay for an evening show if you still have energy

The return cable-car queue can get long in the evening — especially after popular shows. For a calmer sunset, leave a bit before the peak crush.
